SAFileUp
What is SAFileUp?
If you wish to give your visitors the ability to upload images or documents to your site without having to give them your FTP username and password, then SAFileUp is the service for you. You can supply your guests with the URL to the SAFileUp folder, which already as permissions set up so they can store the images in your site folder for you to access later on. SAFileUP is available to all Coastline Plans. To request, log into the control panel and send a tech request. We'll install it and send you complete instructions.

How to I know where files are going?
The files upload to the folder where the upload code is stored. If you are using the simple upload script, the code will automatically store in the /simple/ subfolder.
How do I retrieve the files?
You can download them using FTP.
Can I have directory browsing for SAFileUp?
If you wish to be able to download via HTML, then let us know via a Tech Note and we can set directory browsing for the SAFileUp folders. We don't recommend this as a 'best practice' however, because it can leave your documents and images vulnerable to random viewing.
What if somebody uploads a virus?
Our server doesn't run executibles, but you may be able to download a virus. If you run across an item that you don't recognize or has a file exention such as .pl, .exe, or .com, delete it immediately.
Where can I go if I want to learn how to customize SAFileUp?
SoftArtisans has extensive documentation on their site for SAFileUp.
